I collect as little as I can

I collect only what I need to run the site, understand its use, and manage subscriptions or messages. Here is what each service does and where you have a choice.

Email and contact

If you subscribe to ReadyLience Field Notes, MailerLite processes your email address, subscription status, consent record, and the limited delivery or engagement data needed to send the email, manage unsubscribes, prevent abuse, and diagnose delivery problems. The form uses single opt-in with an explicit consent checkbox. I keep active subscription details while you remain subscribed; after an unsubscribe, minimal suppression information may remain so I can honor that choice. You can ask about your subscription data, or request deletion where applicable, at patrick@readylience.com.

Anything you send directly to me — your contact details and message — is used to reply, run the publication, and deal with a genuine safety or legal concern. Nothing more.

Tools and your household details

The calculators and planners work in your browser; they do not send your entries or results to me, Google Analytics, or MailerLite. The readiness dashboard saves its checked boxes on this device only. Use its “Clear this board” button to remove them. The self-check and decision tree do not save your answers.

Analytics

ReadyLience uses Google Analytics 4 only after you choose “Accept analytics.” Google then receives standard visit information such as the pages viewed, referring page, browser and device details, and approximate location. I use it to understand which guides are useful and where the site needs work. You can decline when the choice appears, or reopen it through “Privacy choices” in the footer.

Affiliate measurement

Selected guides contain disclosed Amazon affiliate links. Amazon receives the visit when you choose to open a link and applies its own privacy and cookie policies. I do not receive your Amazon login, payment details, or identifying customer information. Amazon may report aggregate qualifying activity and commissions to me.

Only after you accept analytics, I also measure affiliate-link clicks through Google Analytics 4 using the public product reference, retailer name, and page path. That event does not include the link URL, account or Tracking ID, purchases, email, or tool inputs. I do not add advertising pixels or retargeting tools.
