Privacy and data
Privacy
A plain-language outline of how ReadyLience will handle site analytics, email subscriptions, contact messages, and affiliate measurement.
I collect as little as I can
I run ReadyLience to gather as little personal data as it can get away with. I name each service I turn on here, explain why it is used, and leave a control in your hands where one exists.
Email and contact
If you subscribe to email, it will always be because you chose to, with a clear way to unsubscribe. Anything you send me — your contact details and your message — I use to reply, to run the publication, and to deal with a genuine safety or legal concern. Nothing more.
Analytics
ReadyLience uses Google Analytics 4 only after you choose “Accept analytics.” Google then receives standard visit information such as the pages viewed, referring page, browser and device details, and approximate location. I use it to understand which guides are useful and where the site needs work. You can decline when the choice appears, or reopen it through “Privacy choices” in the footer.
Affiliate measurement
No affiliate links, advertising pixels, or affiliate measurement tools are active today. If that changes, I will update this page and the Affiliate Disclosure before any of those tools go live.
